Making Room

Only 67 days until our due date! It is still hard to image having a baby boy but every day it is starting to feel more and more real. Kati had to work Christmas Eve so with nothing else to do I went and purchased a crib (that we had been looking at), and glider. On Christmas morning we opened up the gifts under the tree and then I told her I had one more gift up in the nursery. She was really excited!

Now on to the glider...

Final Product!

Gifts that Kati received from her work shower. We received a lot of good stuff. It was really nice of her co-workers.

We just got a changing table from Kati's uncle. It will be very useful!

We have received a ton of clothing and other baby stuff from Kati's sisters (Debi & Lindsi) and from Kati's uncle and aunt (Matt & Jeri Ann). Thanks so much everyone! We are probably set until the little boy is two!
Kati went to town with organizing everything!

Here we go again...

Last month my sister, Courtney, asked me for a picture of Kati and me so she could use it in our yearly family calendar. After searching through all my pictures from 2010 I realized what an awful job I did with picture taking! With a baby coming in March/April I need to kick that bad habit. I’m thinking that if I do better at blogging then it will remind me to take pictures and blog about them. So here is my attempt at taking more pictures.

The majority of 2010 was spent working on project around our home. Here is the list of projects that I did.

1) Painted the bottom floor, mainly thanks to Travis.
2) Hauled in dirt and planted a garden. You can look at Kati’s blog for pictures.
3) We had someone put a 15 ft by 18 ft patio in. It beats our 3 by 3 cement slab that came with the home.
4) Planted flowers and seven trees in the front and side yards.
5) Trenched and put in sprinkler system.
6) Leveled yard and then laid sod/seeded.

Thanks to my neighbors, especially my back door neighbor Shane Shupe, I was able to get all of these projects done before the winter came. I’m looking forward to this summer and not having to worry about so many projects.

Wow! It actually works!

Hummmm...maybe a little too big.

Pipes are all in place!
